There are some travellers who simply want to put as much distance as possible between their work life and vacation, but there is a growing number of individuals who want to find means to stay connected with others as they travel the world. One sure-fire way to do that is through meeting and working alongside other travellers as well as local entrepreneurs.
Canggu is, without a doubt, one of the best locations that I have ever lived in as a digital nomad. The main reason being it is home to my favorite co-working spots in the world.
Imagine an offshore “office” situated one minute from a mesmeric beach, a workspace that resembles a tropical tree house restaurant where you take off your shoes before entering, acai bowls and coconuts being delivered right to your desk, and enjoying the company of other digital nomads cranking out work on their laptops alongside you.
Here are Canggu’s finest co-working spaces to check out;
The Dojo Community
Dojo in Canggu is as awesome as the incredibly talented nomads it attracts. From app developers and bloggers to bikini designers, artists, and jewellers, Dojo is the go-to community hub for the town’s young and aspiring nomads.
Facilities are amazing and ample, expect a 3 sound-proof Skype booths, air-conditioned conference rooms, 6 business grade internet optic lines and many more high tech facilities. On top of this, Dojo boasts a restaurant, hot showers and even a glittering swimming pool with lush tropical grounds.

District Canggu
Drive past this hypnotic co-working space and you will see hundreds of Canggu’s travellers and expats enjoying a healthy salad or making their way toward an upstairs office workspace with a MacBook in one hand and a fresh smoothie in the other.
District Canggu also features three floors with distinct concepts on each; a mouth-watering bar and café on the first floor, an attractive co-working spot on the second floor and a spectacular rooftop hideaway on the topmost balcony with the best views over the rice fields.
Should you find yourself looking for a spot for the day, we recommend settling in for the day and having a taste of the affordable, organic food, smoothies and juices. Better yet, you can make District Canggu your second home with the monthly, weekly or hourly co-working memberships. Facilities include lockers, a super fast optic broadband, showers and after 5 pm, the site crawls with cocktail crowds. You have no reason to ever leave.

The best part? The entire cafe overlooks an enormous swimming pool and beach lounging area! Feeling a little hot? Jump off the platform from the cafe straight into the pool, then head back upstairs to pump out another hour of work.

Outpost
This co-working gemstone situated in both Ubud and Canggu has been referred to as “the working space Google would construct if they were to open a co-workingspace in Bali). I know, that is quite a claim, but fortunately for laptop troopers on the island, this café lives up to this proclaimed awesomeness.
With its engaged, productive and vibrant community of doers as well as awesome amenities that power up your productivity, Outpost is one of the best spots in the world to get your geek on.
At both cafes in Bali, you will find a robust internet connection, Skype rooms, standing desks, outdoor gardens, indoor hubs, and even onsite masseuses to ease every keyboard elbow aches you may have.
And in case you do not feel like switching off, there is a Co-Living accommodation where you can shack it up with other night owls and CEOs who intend to work around the clock.
